No rhyme nor reason to this...just following the advice of a friend that I should draw at times and not be concerned with the quality of the result, and not care whether I fail or succeed.
Striking and beautiful piece. To me, it feels like he's inside a bus/vehicle staring at the view outside and his face as a reflection in the glass, without really looking at it cos he's so lost...Nice!
Good to see you loosen up on this one, Charlie. A couple of the pieces you've recently posted have been a little stiff, which occurs sometimes when we're overthinking, trying too hard, sometimes to be loose! Happens to me more often than I'd like. And here, you've succeeded while risking failure, producing a complete and finished piece of fine art. More of this, please.

It's very beautiful
I'd say that's very good advice. And I happen to like the results very much.
Very striking illustration. The face in it shows just how alone we can feel sometimes when faced with the possibility of failure. Great work!
wonderful, strong piece! Kind of like the world is coming to an end....and he knows it.
Your friend is wise...this is a wonderful piece of art!
